Atlanta Hawks star guard Trae Young will join Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks on the sideline for their Game 5 outing in the Eastern Conference Finals Thursday evening.

Dealing with a bone bruise in his right foot, Young has been ruled out for the second consecutive game. He was previously considered a game-time decision.

Young, 22, has been absolutely dynamic in his first foray into NBA Playoff action, averaging 29.8 points and 9.5 assists in 15 games.

With him sidelined for Game 4 in Atlanta, the Hawks still found a way to even up the series against Milwaukee heading into Thursday’s all-important game. It’s now going to be more difficult within the confines of a hostile road environment inside Fiserv Arena.

At the very least, Atlanta can hope that Trae Young returns for Game 6 this coming weekend. Whether the team is up 3-2 in the series or not will tell us a lot as these two teams vie for an opportunity to take on the Phoenix Suns in the NBA Finals.
