The Arizona Cardinals at 5-0, have the only undefeated record in the NFL, so naturally they’re loading up in anticipation of a playoff run as they maneuver a tough NFC West division. With their starting tight end Maxx Williams set to miss the rest of the season after suffering a knee injury, Cards general manager Steve Keim made a move to trade for Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz.

The Cardinals will send cornerback Tay Gowan and a 2022 5th-round pick to the Eagles in exchange for Ertz. Gowan, a 2021 sixth-round pick in April, had yet to play a snap for the Cardinals this season, now he will head to Philly to help with their depth in the secondary.

Now, Cardinals superstar quarterback Kyler Murray will have yet another Pro Bowl option to target, adding onto DeAndre Hopkins and A.J. Green. Ertz is set to be a free agent at the end of the 2021 season, but now he gets a chance to chase another Super Bowl ring, this time in Arizona.
