Richard Sherman: 49ers would be ‘incredibly open’ to Antonio Brown

The San Francisco 49ers appear to the front-running team when it comes to a possible trade destination for Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown.

Although, head coach Kyle Shanahan said that the 49ers have not yet officially reached out to Pittsburgh in connection with Brown.

This latest tidbit of news has not stopped 49ers cornerback Richard Sherman from campaigning on Brown’s behalf, however.

Sherman went on to say that Brown is one of the “best players in our league” and one of the “hardest workers.”

That indeed is true. Brown stays in shape all season long and and is coming off a 2018 campaign when he recorded a league-high 15 touchdowns. He has also averaged 100 yards per game over his past five seasons.

As such, three teams have reportedly reached out to the Steelers about Brown.

Perhaps Sherman gets his wish if he has any influence in persuading his team to make a run for Brown.
