By now it’s well known that the Pittsburgh Steelers will trade disgruntled star receiver Antonio Brown at some point this offseason. The two sides came to that conclusion following a meeting earlier in the week.
Brown’s market is complicated by both his social media activity and an alleged off-field incident. But he remains one of the game’s most-productive receivers and should draw a ton of interest.
Appearing on the NFL Network earlier on Friday, Steelers general manager Kevin Colbert noted that three teams have already inquired about trading for the seven-time Pro Bowler.

In what can’t be considered too much of a surprise, Colbert didn’t offer any specifics as it relates to the teams. But we can pretty much eliminate the New England Patriots and the rest of the AFC North.
One team in California certainly comes to mind as a possibility. Though, that’s simply based on Brown’s preference and the recruiting process from players on said team.
As it stands, we fully expect Brown to be dealt prior to March 16. He’s owed a $2.5 million roster bonus on that day. Pittsburgh won’t want to pay it.
Brown, 30, put up 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a league-best 15 touchdowns last season. He tops all pass catchers in receptions and receiving yards over the past six seasons.
