Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has the “pleasure” of being on the sideline Saturday night at home against the Miami Dolphins in one of the coldest games in NFL history.

As the first half was playing out during the NFL Playoff game in Arrowhead, the temperature fell to minus-seven degrees with a windchill of minus-27.

Fans in Missouri were braving the cold. Players were, too. All the while, the legendary Chiefs head coach was on the sideline with his mustache freezing. We’re not kidding. It was an epic scene.

Does Reid look miserable here? We’re not sure. But his coaching didn’t seem to be impacted too much by the conditions in Kansas City.

The defending Super Bowl champions found themselves up 16-7 at halftime in this one. Kansas City did look a bit more comfortable in the first 30 minutes braving the conditions.

“You can’t bank on that. That’s where you get into trouble. We’re not having a snowball fight,” Andy Reid said before the game when asked if the Chiefs had the advantage.

That’s no fun. Who doesn’t want to see Reid and Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel after the game engaging in that type of fun? Entertain us.

Either way, Reid’s freezing mustache was the talk of the big NFL Playoff game.

Former Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Ken Anderson is not impressed by the cold.

Find out why here.
