Before the Orlando Magic and Brooklyn Nets played their first games in Orlando Friday, every player, coach and official took a knee during the national anthem. Everyone, that is, except Magic big man Jonathan Isaac.
Some players raised fists while kneeling. Everyone locked arms in solidarity. And then there was Isaac, who remained standing — a lone figure who chose not to participate.

In no way should anyone throw stones at Isaac for choosing not to kneel. Everyone has the right in this nation to sit, stand or take a knee. It’s his choice, and we should respect it, in the exact same way we should respect everyone else on that court who chose to kneel for social justice in America.
