New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar landed on the Commissioner’s Exempt list, per The Washington Post’s Mark Maske, as they face charges for armed robbery in May.

Baker, along with Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar, was sought by law enforcement in May for their alleged involvement in an armed robbery. New York’s starting cornerback turned himself in a few days later.
After his client was released on bond, Baker’s lawyer said the former first-round pick was playing Madden at the time of the alleged incident and witness came forward to proclaim Baker’s innocent.
However, Baker and Dunbar have since been accused of paying off the witness to lie to investigators with alleged video evidence suggesting a payoff by the players.
Baker, the No. 30 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, was scheduled to report for training camp this week with the Giants. Instead, the 22-year-old will be kept away from the team as the NFL lets law enforcement continue its investigation before the league determines potential discipline.
Dunbar, 28, was traded to the Seahawks this offseason after a strong 2019 season with Washington’s football team. Viewed as a key piece of Seattle’s secondary, his NFL career is also in jeopardy.
