Jadeveon Clowney underwent core muscle surgery in late February, but the free agent pass rusher already looking absolutely fabulous.
Training in Houston, Clowney says he’s fully recovered from his surgery. Based on video shared by Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston, it’s hard to argue against him.
The first thing that stood out to me is just how lean Clowney looks. This is a dude that’s 6-foot-5 and weighed in at 266 pounds during his combine back in 2014. But there doesn’t appear to be an ounce of fat on his body, and he’s moving around quite well.
When healthy, Clowney is a devastating force off the edge. He’s racked up 32 sacks in his career so far. Last year as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, he added an interception, which he returned for a touchdown in spectacular fashion.
The former No. 1 overall pick is still seeking employment as a free agent. And he appears to be just fine with waiting things out at this time until the perfect opportunity presents itself.
