The Baltimore Ravens have upgraded their roster big time this offseason after finishing the 2019 campaign with the best record in the NFL.
As Baltimore looks to take out the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC, the team does not appear to be anywhere near done when it comes to adding more talent.
If it were up to reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson, that would include signing troubled free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown.
At the very least, Jackson acknowledged that it’s a highly unlikely scenario. He won’t be the one making said decision. He was seen working out with Brown earlier in the spring. This led to speculation that Baltimore could be interested in the star receiver. It’s speculation that has died down since.
Brown, 31, has been out of the NFL since early last season. He was released by the New England Patriots after just one game following allegations of sexual assault became public record.
This came after Brown’s short tenure with the then-Oakland Raiders came to an abrupt conclusion last summer due to a rift with the organization.
Brown has not done himself any favors on social media since New England moved on from him. With that said, the seven-time Pro Bowler could very well receive some interest as the offseason continues.
As for the Ravens, they certainly have a need at wide receiver behind electric young pass catcher Marquise Brown. Though, the expectation here is that Baltimore will address said need during the 2020 NFL Draft later this week.
