Could the Jets look to trade this Pro Bowler during the NFL Draft?

Jamal Adams makes a tackle against the Philadelphia Eagles

The New York Jets are one team that has been bandied about as being active on the trade front during the 2020 NFL Draft. New York boasts the No. 11 overall pick in the draft and could look to trade up for a wide receiver.

That might not be the only front New York is active. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the team has not shown interest in extending All-Pro safety Jamal Adams. That could very well lead to a possible trade.

As Schefter notes, Adams was on the block during last season’s trade deadline. The Dallas Cowboys showed interest in his services and are seemingly still looking to land the former LSU star. Dallas picks 17th overall in next week’s draft. That could be enough to land Adams.

A former top-six pick of the Jets back in 2017, the 24-year-old Adams is seen as a generational talent. He’s earned two Pro Bowl appearances and an All-Pro nod in two seasons, accumulating 273 tackles, 25 passes defended, six forced fumbles and two interceptions in the process.
