Steelers’ Maurkice Pouncey with expletive-laden diatribe: ‘I vote no’ on CBA

Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey came out vehemently against the currently proposed CBA between the NFL and NFLPA.

The eight-time Pro Bowl center took to his Instagram account with an expletive-laden rant in which he made it clear “the Pouncey twins vote no.”

“I vote no. Our NFLPA, the dudes at the top, the leaders, that’s f****** bs. F that. They’re not looking out for the best of the players. If y’all want my vote, the Pouncey twins vote no.”

Pouncey also told players who may be thinking about voting yes due to financial concerns that he and his brother would pay rent and help support financially. He mentioned “this lockout,” during his diatribe, which shows just how much some of the players are seriously considering the reality that such a course of action may be needed to get what they want in the end.

He’s not the only high-profile player to come out against the current proposal. J.J. Watt, Richard Sherman and Russell Wilson are among those who have publicly voiced their opposition.

A big sticking point at this juncture is the compensation package being offered by the NFL for a 17th regular-season game. The NFL’s players are set to vote on this sometime in the near future. Their decision will have significant ramifications, either way.
