Byron Jones spent the past five years playing outstanding football for the Dallas Cowboys, and now he’s about to get paid like the superstar he is.
Writing on Jones’ impending free agency, Tony Pauline of Pro Football Network shared that “The market for Byron Jones is enormous, as the soon to be former Cowboys cornerback is in high demand.”
Pauline also wrote that Jones is unanimously viewed as the top free-agent cornerback in the 2020 NFL free agency class and that his next contract “will be larger than anything people presently project.”
The 27th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, Jones wowed with otherworldly athleticism during his pre-draft combine performance. Since then, he’s done nothing but live up to the hype, starting 73 games for the Cowboys while developing into one of the NFL’s premier cornerbacks.
