The Detroit Lions could potentially look to move one of their best players in a blockbuster trade this offseason.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Detroit is talking to multiple teams about three-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro cornerback Darius Slay.
Schefter notes that it’s a belief of other teams around the NFL that Slay will in fact be moved.
I previously covered the possibility that Slay could be moved to a certain AFC contender. It’s not a shock that Detroit has placed him on the block.
One of the best corners in the NFL, the 29-year-old Slay wants to reset the market at that position. In turn, Detroit doesn’t seem willing to pay him that type of cash.
Slay has been absolutely brilliant in recent seasons. He’s recorded 56 passes defended and 13 interceptions since the start of the 2017 season.
