The long-anticipated trade of former AL MVP Mookie Betts from the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers has been finalized.
It took some tweaking, but the three teams involved were finally able to resolve some issues.
The deal sends prospects Connor Wong, Alex Verdugo and Jeter Downs from Los Angeles to Boston in exchange for Price and Betts. Los Angeles also reportedly acquired top Twins prospect Brusdar Graterol in exchange for Kenta Maeda in what is seemingly a separate trade. There’s also some other moving parts here.
Needless to say, the MLB world had its reactions to this mega-deal finally being finalized.
