The Tampa Bay Vipers have signed former Cleveland Browns receiver Antonio Callaway, who is currently still suspended by the NFL for repeated violations of the drug policy.
The XFL team shared the news via Twitter on Thursday:
Undeniably talented, Callaway entered the NFL with some serious red flags due to a series of drug-related incidents during his tenure at Florida. Back in November, he was suspended 10 games by the NFL and will remain suspended the first three weeks of the regular season.
In two seasons with the Browns, he showed plenty of ability on the big stage catching 51 passes for 675 yards and five touchdowns.
