Boy, that escalated quickly. About an hour after MLB handed down stiff discipline directed at the Houston Astros for stealing signs, the team has made two shocking moves.
Houston announced that it has fired manager A.J. Hinch and general manger Jeff Luhnow, after both were suspended a year by Major League Baseball.
This comes after a long investigation that concluded the Astros stole signs during their championship season of 2017.
While others were calling for a stiffer punishment, the two losing their jobs qualifies as a pretty big story.
Needless to say, the sports world had its reactions to Monday’s monumental news.
