MLB world calls on MLB to strip Astros of title on top of huge suspensions, fine

Astros

MLB came down hard on the Houston Astros Monday, suspending manager A.J. Hinch and general manager Jeff Luhnow for a year while handing down a $5 million fine. In addition, the team was stripped of its first-round pick and second-round pick in each of the next two MLB Drafts.

This heavy discipline is due to the team’s sign-stealing scandal, which the league obviously felt was more than just hot air. And honestly, given the evidence that amateur sleuths were able to find on this topic, it’s hardly surprising.

Additionally, Brandon Taubman was suspended one year for taunting female reporters during the postseason in a locker-room rant.

However, the Astros will apparently not be stripped of their 2017 World Series win.

As news of this discipline spread, it led to a ton of big reactions on social media, with many calling for MLB to go further and strip the team’s 2017 World Series title.
