Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones missed the team’s first playoff game and was limited in practice all week leading up to the AFC Championship Game against the Tennessee Titans.
There’s a real chance he may not play, and per ESPN’s Ed Werder Chiefs coaches reportedly aren’t feeling optimistic about it.
If Jones is out of the lineup, the Chiefs will be hard pressed to slow down Tennessee’s offense. He’s their best defensive lineman and is one of the league’s top interior pass rushers. During the regular season, he tallied 36 tackles and nine sacks in just 13 games.
And with the runaway freight train that is Derrick Henry coming to town, the Chiefs will need all hands on deck to come out of this one with a win.
