Those on hand for the Vikings and Packers game in Minnesota Monday night were thrown for a loop late in the second quarter when the Vikes decided on a trick play.
It came on third-and-four from the Packers’ 42-yard line after Minnesota forced a third Green Bay turnover of the first half.
For some reason, they decided that Stefon Diggs is better utilized as the quarterback. Meanwhile, Kirk Cousins acted the part of a receiver.
It did not go too swimmingly.
What in the world was even happening here? That pass from Diggs was just atrocious. Cousins’ route might have been the most laughable thing we’ve seen from a football player this season.
To make matters more interesting, Minnesota went for it on fourth down. That play also failed with Cousins missing miserably on a pass to Adam Thielen.
Way to waste a golden opportunity after Minnesota took advantage of another Packers turnover earlier in the second quarter.
