Steelers waive Kameron Kelly after arrest for making terroristic threats

The Pittsburgh Steelers have released cornerback Kameron Kelly after he was arrested and charged with resisting arrest and making terroristic threats at a bar on Friday morning.

According to the report, per The Los Angeles Times, Kelly became disorderly at a bar and police were called to the scene. The employee told police that Kelly threatened to punch him after the employee skipped the cornerback’s selection on the jukebox.

When police arrived, an officer accidentally stepped on a woman’s foot while trying to speak to Kelly. At that moment, Kelly told police he was with the woman and became combative with officers.

The 23-year-old played in the Alliance of American Football last season before it shut down.

Kelly, who signed with the Steelers in April, recorded one interception and one pass deflection in 14 games.
