NFL world reacts to Michael Thomas breaking NFL’s single-season catch record

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas has enjoyed plenty of record-breaking moments this season. He can now add the NFL’s single-season catch record to his historic year.

The moment came in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Tennessee Titans. A week after setting the NFL’s all-time touchdown record, quarterback Drew Brees delivered the record-breaking strike to Thomas.

After entering Sunday’s game with 133 catches in 14 games, Thomas only needed the first half to blow past Julio Jones and Antonio Brown’s mark for second on the single-season list. He also set an NFL record in the third quarter with the most receiving yards in a player’s first four seasons.

When he broke open in the second half to shoot past Marvin Harrison’s mark (143) from the 2002 season, the celebrations and recognition began on the field.

As Thomas’ teammates and coaches celebrated his achievement with him, the NFL world reacted on Twitter to the newest NFL record and an incredible moment.
