Lamar Jackson (quad) will play Thursday vs. Jets

Despite being limited in practice this week by a quad injury, Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson will play on Thursday Night Football against the New York Jets.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that while Jackson is listed questionable with the injury, he is cleared to start against New York.

It’s great news for the heavy favorite to win the NFL MVP award this year. Jackson, who makes a habit of embarrassing defenders with ankle-breaking runs, is just 23 yards shy of breaking Michael Vick’s single-season rushing record (1,039) for quarterbacks.

A national audience will now almost certainly get to see the historic moment happen on Thursday Night Football.
