The San Francisco 49ers know just how big Sunday night’s game against the division rival Seahawks in Seattle is.
With a win, San Francisco will earn the NFC West title and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs. If the up-and-coming team loses, it will drop to the fifth seed and have to travel to either Philadelphia or Dallas for Wild Card Weekend.
Staying true to the theme of this monumental matchup, the 49ers have reportedly decided to go with their all-white throwback uniforms from their last championship season back in 1994.
Interestingly enough, these uniforms were created specifically for the 1994 campaign. It represented the NFL’s 75th year of existence. Now in the midst of the league’s 100th season, the 49ers are going with them again.
San Francisco last wore these uniforms back in Week 8 against the Carolina Panthers. That game resulted in a blowout 51-13 win. Those in the Bay Area are hoping for similar results in the final “Sunday Night Football” game of the season.
