Dallas Mavericks guard Luka Doncic is simply unfair. Already one of the best players in the entire NBA, the 20-year-old sensation is out here adding even more to his game.
Doncic dropped 17 points, grabbed four rebounds and dished out four assists in the first quarter against the San Antonio Spurs Monday night.
That included draining four from long distance, three of which were the step-back variety.
We’re not even sure how to explain how darn good this kid already is.
Sure the likes of James Harden and Stephen Curry pretty much created the step-back three, but a dude standing at 6-foot-7 should not be able to display that type of perimeter game while casually nailing such difficult shots.
We’re witnessing a player that could one day go down as an all-time great. Given that Doncic is just now through his first full 82-game slate, that’s pretty astonishing.
