Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin benched quarterback Mason Rudolph during the third quarter of the team’s game Sunday against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Rudolph threw a bad interception in the first half and then led a three-and-out to open the third quarter. That’s when Tomlin called for Devlin Hodges to warm up on the sideline, and soon after it was clear Rudolph was benched.
Before exiting Sunday’s game, Rudolph had completed 8-of-16 passes for 85 yards with no touchdowns and one interception.
After getting fined more than a game check for his part in the Myles Garrett fight, Rudolph is certainly having a bad week.
