Former New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski took to Instagram Sunday morning to tell his fans to expect a big announcement on Tuesday.
I have a big announcement to make. I can’t wait to drop it on all of you. It’s gonna be fun, it’s gonna be wild, it’s gonna be a good time,” Gronkowski said. “Come check out my Instagram page this Tuesday at 9:00 am to hear the news. Lets go.”
The Instagram Live post could be referring to another step for Gronkowski off the field after he announced his retirement following the Patriots’ Super Bowl win this past February.
It could also have to do with a return to the gridiron. The Patriots have made it clear that they’d welcome Gronkowski back with open arms.
While this could be nothing more than a PR ploy from the future Hall of Famer, he’s certainly needed in New England. With him retired, Pats tight ends have combined for 18 receptions in nine games this season.
