Philadelphia Eagles receiver DeSean Jackson is reportedly having surgery to repair a core muscle injury on Tuesday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.

This injury appears to be season-ending, per Rapoport.

Jackson has appeared in just two games this season for the Eagles. He caught eight passes for 154 yards and two touchdowns against the Washington Redskins back on Sept. 8 and then missed the team’s next seven games. On Sunday, Jackson attempted to play again for the first time since his injury but didn’t make out out of the first half.

The veteran was traded to Philadelphia from Tampa Bay this past offseason and was extremely excited to be back where his NFL career started. Needless to say, this has been a disappointing season for the veteran.
