LSU Tigers quarterback Joe Burrow has been doing incredible things this season. The senior’s dominance became even more clear when he broke the school’s single-season record for touchdown passes.
Burrow thought he had the record on the previous play until officials waved it off due to pass interference. So, he responded by throwing an 18-yard touchdown on a perfect throw. Burrow’s 29th touchdown strike pushed him past JaMarcus Russell and Matt Mauch’s previous marks.
Of course, it would be one thing if Burrow achieved the accomplishment over a full season. True to his breakout season in LSU’s explosive offense, it only took him seven games to reach the historic mark.
It seems pretty clear that Burrow is going to leave LSU’s storied history of quarterbacks in the dust. In fact, he might even double the previous school record by the time his year ends.
