Report: Broncos have fielded calls for two Pro Bowlers

Despite general manager John Elway playing it off like everything is full of sunshine in Denver, the winless Broncos could very well be in sell-off mode ahead of this month’s NFL trade deadline.

MMQB’s Albert Breer reports that Denver has fielded calls for Pro Bowlers, wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders and cornerback Chris Harris.

“The Broncos have fielded calls on Emmanuel Sanders. I think there is a decent chance he gets traded before the trade deadline,” Breer noted in his podcast on Tuesday. “Chris Harris Jr is another one that could be moved. Don’t expect Von to be traded.”

Given that both Sanders and Harris are slated to become free agents after the season, it makes sense that the Broncos might want to get something for them.

Sanders, 32, has been tremendous this season after suffering a torn Achilles in 2018. He’s caught 23-of-34 passes for 298 yards in four games.

Meanwhile, Harris remains one of the best cover corners in the NFL after earning Pro Bowl appearances in four of his past five seasons.
