Su’a Cravens rips Redskins, accuses franchise mishandling injuries and lying

Focusing on a report the Redskins had to talk Su'a Cravens out of retirement.

Former Washington Redskins safety Su’a Cravens opened up in a big way about his grievances against the franchise with a multi-tweet vent session Monday morning.

Cravens, now with the Denver Broncos, accused the Redskins of mishandling injuries, and lying about these issues. He also said that this is “why the best tackle in the game refuses to play for them now. Same reason I left. Mishandled injuries and withheld info. All evidence points to them being guilty!”

He’s referring to Trent Williams.

The seven-time Pro Bowl left tackle has not reported to camp and has reportedly made it clear he will never play for Washington again after the team’s training staff mishandled his own health issues this past offseason.

Here’s what Cravens had to say, in total:

Cravens told the Redskins he was intending to retire ahead of the 2017 season, however team president Bruce Allen convinced him to stay. Ultimately, Cravens didn’t play at all in 2017 and ended up needing treatment for post-concussion syndrome.

Washington ended up trading Cravens to Denver after he was reinstated by the league off the reserve/left squad list following his medical treatment.
