Tampa Bay Buccaneers pass rusher Jason Pierre-Paul opened training camp on the active non-football injury list, but he won’t be playing anytime soon.
According to ESPN’s Jenna Laine, the earliest that Pierre-Paul would return this season is in November.
Pierre-Paul suffered a cervical fracture in a single-car accident this past May. He lost control of his Ferrari on a wet Florida highway, leading to a crash.
He’ll be wearing a bulky neck brace into the month of August after opting not to undergo surgery to repair the damage.
Last year, Pierre-Paul led the Bucs with 12.5 sacks, which was also his best personal total since the 2014 season.
