NBA free agency is still about a month away. But that has not stopped the rumor mill from heating up big time as the 2018-19 season draws to a conclusion.
We’re looking at the most impressive free-agent class in recent history, including Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Kawhi Leonard.
Irving’s future in Boston seems cloudy at best. Meanwhile, he’s been linked to the Brooklyn Nets a lot in recent weeks.
According to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, that will lead to Irving signing with the Nets over their cross-city rivals in that of the New York Knicks.
The Knicks have long had their eyes on both Irving and Durant. However, it’s the Nets who are coming off a surprising playoff appearance. They seem to be a more attractive free-agent destination than the long downtrodden Knicks.
Those within the Nets front office also believe that Irving would work well together with impending restricted free agent point guard D’Angelo Russell.
