The Miami Heat will continue to have to get creative if they want to contend for a playoff spot next season.
As expected, former All-Star guard Goran Dragic has picked up the $19.2 million option on his contract for next season.
Dragic, 33, is coming off an injury-plagued 2018-19 campaign that saw him miss all but 36 games with a knee injury.
Miami will undoubtedly look to move Dragic and his contract this summer. While it might be hard to accomplish, the team is said to be interested in Houston Rockets star Chris Paul and his bloated deal. Something could ultimately come to fruition on that end.
Dragic put up the best season of his career with the Heat back in 2016-17, averaging 20.3 points and 5.8 assists while shooting 41 percent from distance.
