New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge showed off his power stroke on Tuesday night in a rehab assignment.
Playing for the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders, Judge launched a home run to right-center.
This will no doubt be a welcome sight for the Yankees and their fans. While results generally aren’t too important in these settings (especially for players like Judge), he had gone a combined 1-for-12 with six strikeouts in his first three rehab games. This is definitely a sign that he’s getting his swing back and is a good indicator that his return could well come soon.
Prior to his injury, Judge was hitting .288/.404/.521 with five home runs in 73 at-bats over 20 games for New York. The Yankees held up well without him and the litany of other stars who have been injured. Still, getting Judge back will only help them as we get deeper into the season.
