Zion Williamson was rooting for Knicks to win NBA Draft lottery

The New Orleans Pelicans had just a 6% chance to obtain the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft during Tuesday night’s lottery.

The consensus top player in the draft, Duke’s Zion Williamson, was apparently upset that the Pelicans got the first pick. He’d rather have been drafted by the New York Knicks, who drew the third spot.

Could Williamson eventually force his way to New York? That’s not yet known. But it’s apparent that he was not happy.

This also comes on the heels of Pelicans star Anthony Davis reiterating that he wants to be traded. Expect a busy couple months in the Bayou.
