Miami Heat forward Derrick Jones Jr. has some serious hops. He’s going to win the All-Star Game Slam Dunk Contest before the 23-year-old sees his career come to an end.
How do we know? Well, just ask the Atlanta Hawks. Check out Jones Jr. throwing down this brilliant alley-oop from teammate Josh Richardson during Monday night’s game.
It has to be seen to be believed.

Talk about rising to the sky and coming away with a potential dunk of the year candidate. That takes some serious hops right there.
A former star at UNLV, Jones’ on-court exploits were well known in college. Now that he’s in Miami’s rotation, we’re going to see a whole heck of a lot more of this moving forward. That’s for sure.
