The Washington Redskins will reportedly sign free agent safety Landon Collins, who is going to have a chance to play his old team twice a year now.
Landon Collins just told me he will go to the #Skins.

It’s quite a statement from Collins, who is also getting a ton of cash out of the deal.
Sources: Former #Giants star S Landon Collins is signing a 6-year deal for a whopping $84M with the rival #Redskins. Hard to imagine a box safety with this kind of deal after last year’s slow safety market. This moves the market dramatically.

He wasn’t happy with the way the New York Giants let him leave without a real fight, and now he’ll have a chance to prove them wrong on a regular basis in the NFC East.
The fifth-year former Alabama star comes to Washington having put together one of the most impressive four-year stretches of any safety since 2015.
Still just 25 years old, Collins is one of the best strong safeties in the NFL. He is also the only safety in the NFL who has at least 400 tackles and 30 passes defensed since 2015. He has eight interceptions, four sacks, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and an incredible touchdown on record the past four seasons.
For his efforts, Collins has three Pro-Bowls to his credit and was a First-team All-Pro in 2016, when he nearly won Defensive Player of the Year.
The Redskins are certainly landing an impact free agent here. And in the process, they’re getting a guy who has a massive chip on his shoulder, who should give them a big boost against a divisional rival.
