Jaguars, Nick Foles reportedly could soon agree to multi-year deal

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles

The Jacksonville Jaguars have long been mentioned as the team most hot to trot for free agent quarterback Nick Foles.

If Mike Silver of NFL Network is correct, the two sides could have an agreement in place on a lucrative, multi-year deal as early as Monday night.

Silver notes that he expects such a deal to pay Foles between $21-22 million per year. He also says that if no deal is struck by the end of Monday, it probably won’t happen at all with Teddy Bridgewater being the target.

Jacksonville recently cleared millions in cap space with a series of big cuts, so the team has the capital to make this move for Foles.

In seven years as a professional, Foles has completed 61.6 percent of his passes for 11,165 yards with 68 touchdowns and 33 interceptions. He also led Philadelphia to its first ever Super Bowl win, securing MVP in Super Bowl LII.
