The Miami Dolphins’ quarterback room is about to be completely empty. According to the agent for veteran quarterback Ryan Tannehill, he’s headed to the Tennessee Titans in a trade.

This deal seemingly came out of left field. After Miami lost out on Teddy Bridgewater, Nick Foles and Tyrod Taylor in free agency, it seemed that the team might be stuck with Tannehill for another season.
Meanwhile, the Titans have a starting quarterback in the form of Marcus Mariota. While he’s struggled to an extent over the past two seasons, Tannehill was not brought on to compete for the starting job.
Tannehill, 30, started 88 games in six seasons with the Dolphins after they made him a first-round pick back in 2012. He recorded 123 touchdowns compared to 75 interceptions in the process.
It’s not yet known what Miami received in return. But the team is now back to the drawing board in hopes of landing a starting quarterback.
