Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw estimates he’ll miss three weeks

Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw will spend time on the shelf for the fourth consecutive season.

That much was made known earlier in the week as the three-time Cy Young winner makes his way back from a shoulder injury that has cost him all of spring training.

Following a throwing session in Arizona on Wednesday, Kershaw was ready to give an estimated time of arrival. Kershaw indicated that he should return to the mound for regular-season action in about three weeks.

The good news here is that the Dodgers could backdate Kershaw’s stay on the injured list.

The bad news? Kershaw’s projection makes it likely that one of the game’s most dominating pitchers could miss Los Angeles’ first three regular-season series.
