When the Carolina Panthers were put up for sale, Sean Combs (better known as Diddy) pushed hard to purchase the NFL team. Ultimately, David Tepper won the bid, and he’s been a breath of fresh air since taking over the franchise.
However, Diddy is still determined to purchase an NFL team, telling TMZ Sports, “It’s time.”
Assuming he gets another chance any time soon, Diddy will have a strong ally in his quest to become an NFL owner. New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft wants to see it happen.
“I hope so,” Kraft said, speaking with TMZ Sports. “I’m a big fan of his.”
It’s going to be interesting to see when Diddy might get another chance. The Los Angeles Chargers, New Orleans Saints, Denver Broncos and Tennessee Titans could potentially all be looking for new ownership in the coming years.
