Denver Broncos general manager John Elway made it clear that he is not interested in top quarterback prospect and reigning Heisman winner Kyler Murray.
He minced no words when it came to Murray’s shorter height of 5-foot-10.
This shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise, but Elway just essentially said that Kyler Murray will not be an option for the Broncos.
Said he doesn’t think you can go under center much with a shorter QB and proceeded to explain why going under center is so important to him.

This is a hard pass by Elway despite Murray’s talent as a passer and his lightening bolt speed.
Instead, the Broncos seem to be content at the quarterback position after having recently traded for quarterback Joe Flacco. Flacco just happens to be 6-foot-6 which seems to fit Elway’s criteria for a prototypical quarterback.
Whether this results in success for the Broncos — presuming he starts — remains to be seen. Flacco passed for only 12 touchdowns in the nine games he played for Baltimore last season.
Regarding Murray, all eyes will be on him during the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis this week.
