Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley was virtually a non-factor in his team’s NFC Championship Game win over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
In fact, one could easily conclude that the officials inside the Superdome played a larger role in the outcome of the game.
That’s never a good thing. After all, the zebras missed a blatant pass interference penalty against Los Angeles late in the game. If the penalty were called, New Orleans likely would have come out on top.
Following the game, Gurley himself took to Instagram and posted pretty much the best photo we’ll see all season.
That’s a pretty darn good Photoshop right there from Mr. Gurley. Obviously, the official in question did not exchange jerseys with Gurley after the game. That would have brought this drama to an entirely new level.
Even then, Gurley’s sense of humor after the fact makes him a legit winner as his Rams prepare for the Super Bowl next month.
