Dwayne Haskins should definitely leave Ohio State to enter the 2019 NFL Draft after having a record-breaking campaign for the Buckeyes in 2018.
And according to a report, at least some of his teammates believe he’s going to make that decision.
“Per a league source, at least some Buckeyes teammates believe Haskins is leaving,” wrote Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk on Friday evening.
Before the Rose Bowl, Haskins had been informed by the NFL’s draft advisory board that he’s been given a first-round grade. Indeed, should the redshirt sophomore come out of school early, he’d have a very strong chance to be the first quarterback taken.
This past year at Ohio State, Haskins passed for 4,831 yards and 50 touchdowns, breaking Big Ten records previously held by Drew Brees. He was also third place in this past year’s Heisman voting, behind Tua Tagovailoa and winner Kyler Murray.
