Joe Flacco might be close to returning for the Baltimore Ravens after missing the past two games to injury. In no way does this mean that he’ll actually retain the starting job from stud rookie Lamar Jackson.
Having led Baltimore to a win in each of his first two NFL starts, the former Heisman winner headed to Atlanta to take on a struggling Falcons team Sunday.
Pretty much right out of the gate, Jackson showed us why he’s a better option for Baltimore than Flacco. With his Ravens down 3-0 in the first quarter, Jackson led the Ravens down the field. The drive culminated in this brilliant 13-yard touchdown run from the quarterback.
It's simple. You're not gonna stop @Lj_era8.
That's SIX.

Look how many tackles Jackson broke on the touchdown run. It’s something we saw nearly every Saturday during his college career at Louisville. And it sure looks like Jackson hasn’t missed a step since entering the NFL as a first-round pick this past April.
Jackson has his Ravens at 6-5 on the season and right in the thick of the AFC Playoff race. A win Sunday in Atlanta would a long way in terms of him being named the starter for the remainder of the season.
