WATCH: DeAndre Hopkins banged up, carried off field following go-ahead TD

The game’s best players find a way to make the biggest plays, even if it means putting their body on the line. That’s precisely what Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins did with his go-ahead touchdown against the New York Jets.

Late in the fourth quarter after the New York Jets scored a go-ahead touchdown, the Texans responded thanks to another huge play from Hopkins. The All-Pro receiver took on single coverage and hauled in a 50-50 pass in the end zone for the go-ahead score.

Immediately after he came down with the catch, Hopkins grabbed for his lower leg. As he grimaced in pain, his teammates immediately came over and helped carry him off the field and to Houston’s sideline.

Now the Texans must hope Hopkins avoided a major injury and their defense can make a stop to steal the win. If both happen, this could be the momentum-changing play to help the Texans start another winning streak.
