Tyreek Hill was limping around like crazy on Sunday during his team’s win over the Baltimore Ravens, but it sounds like he’s going to be fine long term.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that “A further examination of the foot injury that Chiefs’ WR Tyreek Hill sustained Sunday showed ‘nothing serious’ and he now will be considered ‘day to day,’ per source.”
This is fantastic news, especially considering Hill’s own words about his injury seemed pretty ominous.
“My foot’s bad …Our people did a tremendous job wrapping my foot,” Hill told Peter King. “I was still feeling my heel, but at the same time, I knew that man, if you want the W, if you want to be a great receiver, this is your moment to make plays.”
Despite his injury, which occurred early in Sunday’s game, Hill was phenomenal. He came up with eight catches for 139 yards, including the key 48-yarder on fourth-and-nine late in the fourth quarter that allowed the Chiefs to tie the game and send it to overtime.
It remains to be seen if Hill will be able to suit up and play when the Chiefs host the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night.
