The Los Angeles Chargers will be battling for a first-place tie with the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead on Thursday night. It’s one of the better late-season games on the NFL calendar.
In previewing said game, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith put his foot in his mouth multiple times. That included him focusing on a matchup between Chargers tight end Hunter Henry and Chiefs all-time great Derrick Johnson.
The issue here is that Henry has not played all season to injury and Johnson last suited up for the Oakland Raiders after he was released following the 2017 season. Neither will be on the field at Arrowhead on Thursday. Needless to say, Twitter had its fun with Smith’s epic failure.
It now looks like the Chargers themselves are having some fun at Smith’s expense. Here, the team’s Twitter account trolled him in the best possible way.
UPDATE: LaDainian Tomlinson, Dan Fouts and Lance Alworth are all OUT for tonight. #LACvsKC https://t.co/0nw4diFKB0

That’s just well done in so many ways. Good work from whoever is running this account. We’re impressed.
