WATCH: Lions’ Matthew Stafford throws horrible pick-six

The Detroit Lions’ season might now be over. With the team tied at 16 in the fourth quarter against the Chicago Bears on Thanksgiving, Matthew Stafford might have guaranteed this.

In a questionable attempt to fit the ball outside the hashes in his own territory, Stafford telegraphed his pass. Bears defensive back Eddie Jackson jumped on it and returned the ball 41 yards for a touchdown.

At 4-6 on the season, Detroit finds itself in must-win mode. A pick-six this late in the game really didn’t help matters. Stafford simply can’t be making rookie mistakes like this.

As it relates to the Bears’ second-year safety, it’s the second time Jackson has scored a touchdown this season and the third of his career. Whew.
