The Atlanta Braves needed a big jolt in Game 3 of the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Ronald Acuna Jr. delivered just that with a grand slam in the second inning.

Ronald Acuna is the youngest player to hit a postseason grand slam. Mickey Mantle was the youngest.

Right ahead of Acuna, pitcher Sean Newcomb drew a bases loaded walk with two outs in the inning. That gave the Braves their first run of the series. It appeared as though Acuna would bring in his team’s second run, when he took a 3-0 pitch that appeared to miss high. But umpire Gary Cederstrom called the pitch a strike.
That turned out to be quite the break for Atlanta.
